THE BANDS
The HIRS Collective Often described as "Queercore’s resident supergroup," The HIRS Collective is an ever-evolving force of grindcore, powerviolence, and "bullshit thrash." Rooted in Philadelphia and deeply embedded in leftist punk ethics, the collective exists to celebrate and defend the survival of trans, queer, POC, and marginalized folks. Their live sets are legendary for mixing abrasive, minute-long ragers with unexpected pop-anthem interludes—a chaotic "middle finger" to the patriarchy and oppressive structures everywhere.
Commitment The latest heavy-hitters to emerge from the Philly hardcore scene, Commitment features members of Soul Glo, Eye Flys, and Backslider. Fronted by Tati Salazar—who brings a fierce, natural charisma to the mic in her first-ever punk project—the band delivers "blitzkrieg" hardcore that is fast, angry, and unapologetic. Their debut material tackles themes of revenge and anti-oppression, offering a sonic "bite back" against harassment and systemic violence.
